ABOUT NOMADIC ENCOUNTERS

For three generations the Beaton and Looseyia families have worked in partnership. Nomadic Encounters is the product of more than thirty years work in developing one of the most genuine cultural safari experiences in Africa.

Over the intervening years we have been joined by a small team of individuals, all of whom were born and raised here, on the plains of the Masai Mara. The result is that this cultural experience is an opportunity to explore, share and discover its ever changing nature in the company of its natural guardians. This team, with just a few exceptions for added skills, have been drawn from the surrounding community. They bring with them long friendships and deep roots that give us all a good reason to be part of this wonderful family. When it all began with a small cottage over 20 years ago we had little idea that it would evolve through a tented camp and then back to private homes. Safari is a very personal thing and can be enjoyed in many different ways.  It is our firm belief that safari, the Looseyia and Beaton, way should be done on your terms, your routine and your time scales.

So here we have our latest project which we believe is both ground breaking and fun. We continue with those very same values that set us on this path all those years ago and you are more than welcome here with us on safari.
